Geeks of Technology

Designed to Respond

Who we are

Geeks of Technology is a full-service design-build technology integration firm based in South Florida. We design, engineer, install, and support the systems that make homes intuitive, buildings intelligent, and yachts connected – all without a single piece of visible technology breaking the design.

Since 2009, we’ve partnered with architects, interior designers, builders, developers, and marine professionals across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. We don’t sell equipment. We solve spatial problems with engineering.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Technology Should Be Felt, Never Seen

Every project begins with the same question: how should this space make people feel?

Not what equipment goes where. Not which protocol runs fastest. How should the light shift when evening arrives. How should sound follow you from room to room. How should a building know the difference between a Tuesday morning and a Saturday night.

We believe the most sophisticated technology is the kind no one talks about. It doesn’t announce itself. It doesn’t require a manual. It simply responds – to the architecture, to the moment, to the people who live and work within it.

That philosophy shapes everything we do: from the way we collaborate with design teams during schematic design, to the way we engineer structured cabling behind finished walls. We don’t add technology to spaces. We build it into their DNA.

Affiliations & Awards

Connected to better business.

Being connected is key to staying on the cutting edge of what is possible in your smart home or business. These affiliations give us ongoing education on best practices that allow us to be great trade partners, resulting in a better experience for our clients.

One Practice. Three Worlds.

A waterfront estate in Palm Beach and a superyacht docked at Bahia Mar have more in common than a zip code. Both demand systems that perform flawlessly under pressure, integrate silently with world-class design, and answer to people who expect things to simply work.

That common thread – invisible technology, engineered without compromise – runs through every project we take on, whether the address is a residence, a campus, or a hull number.

Homes That Listen

We typically join a residential project during schematic design, sitting alongside the architect and interior designer long before finishes are selected or walls are framed. That early seat at the table is how we ensure lighting scenes feel intentional, not programmed. How shades track the sun without anyone touching a switch. How audio fills a terrace without a speaker in sight.

By the time the homeowner walks in, the technology has already disappeared into the architecture. What remains is a home that feels effortless – and a design team that never had to compromise.

Buildings That Perform

In a commercial environment, downtime isn’t an inconvenience – it’s a cost center. That reality shapes every system we design, from the boardroom AV that has to work the first time, every time, to the building management platform that keeps a 200,000-square-foot campus running without a second thought.

We work with facilities directors, IT teams, and ownership groups who need a technology partner that thinks in terms of operations and occupancy – not product lines. One team, one point of accountability, and systems built for the long run.

Land Standards. Open Water.

A yacht is not a floating house. It’s a marine environment with constraints that most integrators never encounter: salt air, vibration, power fluctuation, limited racking space, and the expectation that every system performs identically whether you’re docked at the marina or forty miles offshore.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, we bring the same invisible-technology standard from our residential and commercial work into the marine world – and we engineer it for sea, not adapt it from shore. Owners, captains, and yacht management companies trust us because we understand the vessel as well as we understand the technology.

In-House. Start to Finish.

Planning, engineering, cabling, installation, programming, and long-term support – all managed by our team

We don’t outsource the hard parts. Every phase of a project – planning, budgeting, engineering, structured cabling, equipment procurement, installation, programming, and ongoing support – is managed by our in-house team.

That single-team model isn’t just efficient. It’s how we maintain quality. The engineer who designs the system is connected to the technician who pulls the cable, the programmer who writes the logic, and the support team who answers the call two years later. No handoffs. No gaps. No finger-pointing.

It’s also why architects and builders keep coming back. When technology is one phone call and one team, it stops being a coordination problem and starts being a competitive advantage.

Your Technology Partner from Day One

Architects & Interior Designers

We join at schematic design, coordinate with your drawings, and make sure every piece of technology respects the spatial and aesthetic intent of your vision. Your design leads. We engineer around it.

Builders & General Contractors

Coordinated construction documents, on-time rough-ins, and a technology scope that never becomes a change-order problem. One team, one contact, zero surprises.

Developers & Property Managers

Standardized technology packages across units and properties. We streamline procurement, reduce operational overhead, and design systems that elevate the resident experience without complicating management.

Yacht Owners & Marine Professionals

We work directly with owners, captains, and yacht management to engineer marine-grade systems built for the realities of life at sea. Not adapted. Engineered.
