Project overview
The Atlantic to the east. The Port of Miami to the west. The skyline glowing between them.
From inside this Murano Grande residence on the southern tip of Miami Beach, the views do the talking - sunrise over open ocean, cruise ships sliding out of port, the city lighting up after dark. The technology's only job is to frame them, protect them, and never compete.
In a home wrapped in glass and Atlantic sun, the lighting design had to do more than dim and brighten.
A Crestron tunable lighting system adjusts color temperature throughout the day - cool and energizing in the morning, warm and intimate by evening. Every fixture, every scene was calibrated to complement the natural light pouring through the glass and the interior finishes chosen by the design team. The result isn't just controlled light - it's light that feels right, in every room, at every hour.
Floor-to-ceiling glass means everything when the ocean is on the other side. It also means relentless sun, glare, and the need for privacy on demand.
Motorized shades and blackouts work in concert across the living areas, master suite, bedrooms, and bathrooms - filtering light, blocking glare, and providing instant privacy without sacrificing an inch of the panorama. In the master bathroom, motorized blinds deliver seclusion while still letting natural light wash across the space.
Every shade coordinates with the Crestron lighting system. Natural and artificial light always move together.
The dedicated home theater was built to rival the real thing.
Acoustic treatments shape the room's sound before a single speaker fires. Crestron audio and video deliver an immersive cinematic experience - tunable lighting drops to the perfect scene, shades close, and the room transforms. When the credits roll, one tap brings the room back to life. A space that serves two purposes without compromising either.
Multi-room Crestron audio fills the residence - living area, kitchen, master suite, guest bedrooms - each with independent zone control and seamless source switching.
Music follows the homeowners from room to room, adjusting volume and source without a visible speaker breaking a single sight line. The entertainment system works the same way the rest of the home does - present when wanted, invisible when not.
Honeywell security provides round-the-clock monitoring and control - a private layer of protection on top of the building's own systems. Behind it all, a Cisco networking backbone and Ruckus wireless infrastructure deliver enterprise-grade connectivity to every device, every system, every room.
Crestron keypads placed at key points throughout the residence give the homeowners clean, intuitive command of every integrated system - lighting, shades, audio, video, and security - from interfaces that enhance the walls instead of cluttering them.
Murano Grande sits at the southern tip of Miami Beach - South of Fifth, where the island narrows to a point between the ocean and Government Cut. It's one of the most coveted residential addresses in South Florida: world-class dining at your feet, South Pointe Park across the street, and a lifestyle that revolves around water, light, and horizon.
This residence now matches the address. Every view is framed. Every room responds. Every system disappears. A home in the sky - quietly brilliant.
